Pete Clay is a fulltime real estate professional, with extensive experience. He has listed and sold properties in Alpharetta, Atlanta, Athens, Ball Ground, Braselton, Buford, Cleveland, Cumming, Dacula, Dawsonville, Dahlonega, Duluth, Eatonton, Elberton, Ellijay, Flowery Branch, Gainesville, Hoschton, Jasper, Jefferson, Lawrenceville, Lula, Milledgeville, Milton, Monroe, Oakwood, Oxford, Pendergrass, Social Circle, Statham, Sugar Hill, Suwanee, Winder, Woodstock, and other communities in Georgia, plus numerous referral transactions out-of state.

Pete grew up in northern New Jersey, close to NYC, and in Maryland, near Annapolis for a shorter period. He spent most summers of his youth in Vermont and New Hampshire, and attended colleges in the north and the south. Pete had a long-term career serving as an officer and a senior executive of a large, internationally known company in New York City. As VP Human Resources/Operations, he was responsible for  human resources management (SPHR Accreditation), employment law compliance, risk management, loss prevention, associate productivity, property development, executive relocation, most company expenses and much more. Over the years, Pete gained significant negotiating and human interaction skills that greatly benefit his real estate clients today. Following retirement, he operated a consulting company, and also consulted back to the company he had retired from on matters about which he had knowledge. After relocating primary residence to Georgia, Pete was affiliated with other real estate companies in the market area, beginning with  French Properties, a highly regarded locally owned affiliate of one of the national real estate companies, known largely for its specialization in Lake Lanier lakefront homes and lots. When that franchise was absorbed by its corporate partner, Pete joined that firm. Finally, Pete felt that joining Harry Norman Realtors, and its unequaled dominance in the luxury market, would be in the best interests of his buyer and seller clients, as well as an important factor in continuing to grow his business opportunities.

Pete and his wife, a former banking executive, live in one of the communities in the  Lake Lanier area. They enjoy the long golfing and boating seasons that this area of Georgia offers, along with a welcome change of seasons. Investing in vacation and recreational properties in other areas of the country has long been an interest of Pete's, and is still a focus today. Another home at a ski resort is enjoyed, particularly by his wife, an avid winter sports enthusiast. Pete's hobbies outside of real estate include performance power boating, Corvettes, true Classic-era automobiles (Pierce Arrow Society, The Packard club, Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Club), American and European history and golf.

As a REALTOR®, continuing education is not only a requirement, but essential to the benefit of clients. In addition to required courses, Pete has achieved the coveted GRI designation (Graduate REALTOR® Institute), SFR (National Association of REALTORS Certified Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource), ARS (Accredited Relocation Specialist for Buyers and Sellers), SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialist), and also has been licensed in Georgia as an Associate Broker for many years. The Senior Marketing Consultant (SMC) designation is earned only by a select group of agents that produce results consistently at the very top of the 900 sales professionals at Harry Norman REALTORS®.  To become a Senior Marketing Consultant, a sales associate must maintain outstanding production levels, be named to their Board of REALTORS Million Dollar Club, and command a thorough knowledge of marketing, contract negotiations and finance. Testament to their expertise, is the fact that Harry Norman REALTORS® consistently participates in the listing and sale of more extraordinary homes than any other company in Atlanta. Pete Clay is a long-standing Harry Norman Senior Marketing Consultant.

Pete is easy to get to know, works diligently in the interests of his buyers and sellers, and welcomes new clients.
